Here is my theory. Tahno was originally not supposed to be a big character and he was just going to disappear after episode 7. BUT, he became so popular. The reason for the postpone is that they are working with the might of god to put a new scene in episode 8 that pretty much saves Tahnos character from extinction. One that shows that he wants to help Korra but he’s of no use now and that hes going to go on a journey to become stronger for her. He will then disappear for the rest of season one, but then they’ll add him in completely come season two.

THESE ARE MY THOUGHTS UNTIL PROVEN WRONG!

Oh I just had the most amazing idea. When I get a boyfriend I will make him pretend to be Tahno, and I shall be Korra! He will offer me “private lessons” only for me to get in his face a say “You wanna go toe-to-toe with me pretty boy?”. Because, yes. This would bring me happiness.
